UPDATE March 2011: K-11 / Hell in the Pacific

Hi everybody,

I'm in Australia at the moment and I was observing the aftermath of the New Zealand earthquake ( on the news ) when the earthquake and tsunami in Japan happened. I had just left Japan a week earlier so I narrowly escaped that myself. And on the flight on the way to Japan I had been reading about the second earthquake that hit Chile just before New Zealand. So, I've recently had a shift in perspective on the 'ring of fire' - being a little bit more personally touched by its activity.

I should say that thankfully all my friends and contacts are well and safe in Japan, and it did cross my mind that a site update at the moment might not be entirely appropriate, given the death tolls involved. But it is still all relevant and I haven't updated for a while, so here are the extra new bits. And I think you'll see why it seems particularly appropriate to be sending this one from Australia, as this continent does illustrate some of the things I'm talking about.

Anyway, here are the new bits below, hope you find something interesting there.

K-11

In February 2011 astronomers announced the discovery of the K-11 star, which is widely regarded as the most important discovery since the first exoplanet, 51 Pegasi b, in 1995.

Unlike most exoplanet systems so far observed K-11 has 6 gas planets in an orbit closer then Mercury. These planets can not have formed where they are now. Grouped so closely together their gravity should have interfered with their formation. They should have ripped each other apart at the outset.

In other words the K-11 system may be full of migrant worlds that have changed their orbits.

HELL IN THE PACIFIC

On February 12, 2011 an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the richter scale struck central-southern Chile - a year after it was struck by an 8.8.

On February 22 a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck Christchurch in South Island, New Zealand.

On March 11 a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Northern Japan, the strongest that the country has yet seen.

All the above quakes were followed by aftershocks.

These earthquakes are all happening around the well known and closely observed belt of volcanic and earthquake activity that runs around the Pacific, known as the 'Ring of Fire'. Devastating though these events are they should be no surprise as increased tectonic activity goes hand in hand with global warming.

But the pattern of these earthquakes connects with 2 points I have been illustrating on this website - the concept of the 'closing' of the Pacific as the beginning of a contraction period, which involves massive increase in plate movements.

Update May 2010: Magma Oceans of Venus / The Seventh Earth Project

Hi everybody,

Venus has started, and I've been avoiding it for some years now, 'cos it's a hell planet. Not only is it one of the larger rock planets in this solar-system, It's also one of the larger problems with my hypothesis because it's too big for it's place in the timeline. But its tectonic activity is perfect - just as extreme as it should be, its ferocity only matched by some of Jupiter's moons. I've started with a gravity anomaly map comparison to determine its relationship to my early Earth continents. Then I'm going to move on to Magma Oceans of both.

Also, you may remember in January I mentioned the expanding of the concept of the site to a new level of accompanying media projects. 'The Seventh Earth Project' is the beginning of the Archiving of the electronic music of the Invisible Earths, developed in collaboration with D1 Recordings.

This release ushers in a new period of Seventh Earth Projects.

Update March 2010: Chile quake shifts Earth's axis and shortens day / Mirror Tectonics

Update March 2010: Chile quake shifts Earth's axis and shortens day / Mirror Tectonics

Hi everybody,

Well, it looks like a new period is upon us - actual astronomical changes as a progression of global warming. As I discussed on the site, global warming accelerates tectonic activity. The three earthquakes that we've seen in quick succession so far this year are a case in point.

The Chile earthquake, on February 27, has apparently caused the earth to shift off its axis by up to 3 inches, with the result of a day now being 1.26 milliseconds shorter. The earthquake registered 8.8 on the Richter scale and has the seventh highest recorded magnitude.

It was preceded by the earthquake in Haiti, magnitude 7.0, on January 12, and followed by the earthquake in Turkey, magnitude 6.0, on March 8.

The positioning and sequence of these earthquakes is also in keeping with the idea of 'bouncing' earthquake waves, which I outlined in the section 'Mirror-plates'.
But more significantly, it suggests the idea of an earthquake 'runaway loop'.

The Seventh Earth Update: February 2010: 7th Birthday / Earth Projects / New Updates

Hi Everybody,

Today is the seventh birthday of The Seventh Earth, and in the past seven years it has been viewed from nearly every country in the world and has had a readership of over 115 thousand people ( and that's proper reads, not just hits ).

http://www.theseventhearth.com

The updates have been a bit few and far between in some years, as you may have noticed, particularly when the AU demoted Pluto and promoted Ceres and Sedna and I had to completely re-design the homepage. But the structure of the site is finally complete and is now ready to move on to a new level of monthly mailouts, and a new level of accompanying media projects in 'The Seventh Earth Projects' -
http://www.d1.ie
http://www.seventhearthprojects.com
'The Seventh Earth Projects' is the beginning of the Achiving of the electronic music of the Invisible Earths, developed in collaboration with D1 Recordings. Listen here; http://soundcloud.com/d1-recordings/the-seventh-earth-project-archive-one-side-a

New in this of the site version is the revamped first section 'The Visible Earths', which some revised sections on the plate-tectonics - http://www.theseventhearth.com/index1.htm
The 'Timeline', which is a linear reference for the sequence of all the various events and stages of my hypothesis, with a few added animations - http://www.theseventhearth.com/timeline.htm
And the new section 'Sol' - http://www.theseventhearth.com/sol.htm
This section outlines some basic ideas about what questions my hypothesis raises which may ultimately be directed towards the central body of our system - the star 'Sol' ( The Sun ).

And I've been catching up on web stuff like Facebook and Blogs ( Myspace to be a bit dated now )

Here's the new blog; http://theseventhearth.blogspot.com

And the facebook page; http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Seventh-Earth/271283118857

So, thanks for all your support and interest over the past seven years, I hope the new site keeps it for the next seven. And I'd like to end with a little recap on one of the better responses to my site amongst more serious readers - the editors of Wikipedia;

WIKIPEDIA EDITORS DISCUSSION:

MICHAELBUSCH: April 8, 2007 6:02 PM

Given how many times this article has been deleted and reposted, should it be protected against recreation?

QUARL: April 12, 2007 7:26 AM

Hi Michaelbusch, thanks for your concern; actually when I said it had been deleted 6 times before it was an unsuccessful attempt at humour, referring to the thesis of the subject of the article that everything that happens on Earth has happened six times already.

Update December 2009: 'SOL' ( The Sun )

Hi everybody,

The second last section of the site that was still left 'Under Construction' is finally started;

SOL: http://www.theseventhearth.com/sol.htm

This section outlines some basic ideas about what questions my hypothesis raises which may ultimately be directed towards the central body of our system - the star 'Sol' ( The Sun ).

I most recently updated the 'Snow on Mars' and 'Water On The Moon' sections;
Snow on Mars: http://www.theseventhearth.com/MM_21.htm
Water on the Moon: http://www.theseventhearth.com/luna_10.htm
Previously I started the Moon section 'Luna' and have still to start the 'timeline' which will make it easier to cross-reference the different sections.

Anybody who is familiar with the site will be aware of the way the sections interconnect - 'Mars Mission' picks up where 'Global Warming' left off and so on, and they all link to other relevant pages ( you can nearly navigate your way through it something like an old 'Fighting Fantasy' gamebook ) and so on. Those of you who aren't familiar with the site, 'About This Site' will give you all the background;
http://www.theseventhearth.com/about.html

I usually update the support sites at the same time as the main site, and these are a little more extensive now;
E7 - is the bibliography of the site and gives you what other sites and periodicals and books I've been trawling through;
http://www.e7.ie
E7Media - is the site that covers more peripheral work that simply enhances or is inspired by the original site. There are several recent musical and film projects I developed that I've linked to here;
http://www.e7media.net

You can also check the previous mailouts on the blog;
http://theseventhearth.blogspot.com

So, I you find something of interest in the new sections.
Thanks for taking the time,

UPDATE WINTER 2008/2009: SNOW ON MARS / WATER ON THE MOON

Hi Everybody,

Last September 'Phoenix' saw snow at the Martian pole, and ancient rocks from the moon yielded evidence of water from 3 billion years ago. I've started to add these developments and integrate them into the site - still needs alot of work though, so, more soon, ...

Snow on Mars: http://www.theseventhearth.com/MM_21.htm
Water on the Moon: http://www.theseventhearth.com/luna_10.htm

UPDATE JULY 2008 / 'LUNACY' / GIANT IMPACT

lunacy

noun ( pl. -cies)

the state of being a lunatic; insanity (not in technical use) : it has been suggested that originality demands a degree of lunacy.

ORIGIN mid 16th cent.(originally referring to insanity of an intermittent kind attributed to changes of the moon): from lunatic + -acy .

impact
noun
the effect or influence of one person, thing, or action, on another.
_________________________________________________________

Hi everybody,

For a minute there I thought I was going crazy. I thought it was going to be a full year between updates! phew! ( and this time the delay in updating was because I decided that the site needed to be re-designed ). Anyway, the Lunar section has started;

LUNA: http://www.theseventhearth.com/luna.htm

The guy on the index page is 'Anaxagoras', the first Greek thinker to propose that the Moon was a solid, Earth-like body, or 'stone-star'. The Luna section will explore the recent 'Giant Impact' theory of the Moon's origin and, like the other sections, it begins with a general overview of the history of Moon theories. I've left it 'to be continued' on the seventh page, but very soon I will be tying it in with the other sections. Anybody who is familiar with the site will be aware of the way the sections interconnect - 'Mars Mission' picks up where 'Global Warming' left off and so on and so on. Those of you who aren't familiar with the site, 'About This Site' will give you all the background;

http://www.theseventhearth.com/about.html

I usually update the support sites at the same time as the main site,

E7; http:www.e7.ie

Earth7Media; earth7media.com

but this time I want to do a more extensive overhaul on them, and on the World Indexes, so they'll come separately, but soon ( at the moment they date from my research as it was last October ).

So, I hope the new look to the site grabs your eye and that you find something of interest in the new sections. Thanks for taking the time,

Alan Lambert
